The Luna Collection represents an attempt to blend the lyricism and sensual curves of Art Nouveau with the functionality and clean lines of modernism. While the fluid wood curves contrast the sharp edges found in other modern pieces, the simple lines and lack of ornamentation allow the pieces to blend well with other more modern furnishings. A simplified Art Nouveau was the original inspiration for the Luna Bed. Taking the curved whimsical shapes of that era and removing the ornamentation, the headboard is a simple curve with organic, curved side posts. The pivoting backrest, shaped like a cloud, is inspired by our cultural ideas of restful sleep.
